It's In Your Minds Eye
Beauty is being the best possible version of yourself on the inside and out.
And this takes time, it’s a process since it deals with growth!
Don’t be too hard on yourself rather be disciplined enough to stay true to being the authentic version of ‘you’ as a brand that you are. Yes, you’re a brand and the beauty you seek is in your mind’s eye!
In my journey of personal growth, I’ve discovered that one thing fundamental to continuous growth, is to not set goals just because someone else is threading such path.
Also don’t let the achievements of others intimidate or put you under pressure to seek influence over purposeful living, instead be committed to building from inside out so you can build to last.
As regards goalsetting, ask yourself; “Why do I write? Why do I write? Why am I interested in growing my YouTube channel? Why did I say yes to that proposal? Why am I in this relationship?
Why am I seeking employment in that organization? Why did I choose to Volunteer in that Community? And why am I friends with XYZ?
I tell you, the ‘Whys’ are not easily exhausted but ask why? Introspect, self-reflect, for as the saying goes, if the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.
Don’t let the achievements, style and disposition of others put you under pressure and get you distracted on discovering and building up the unique personality that you are!
Remember, it pays to be real as everyone else is taken, so run your own race at your own pace; also embrace the God-factor in the race of your life; that is ‘Grace’ for He has created you a masterpiece branded for good works; live in this truth and might!
Let room for self-discovery, apply discipline and focus on living purposefully as your influence will be a lasting one when you live a purpose-driven life fired up for positive impact making.
